She also mentions how he was a thorn in the side of many superheroines over the years, especially to the retired “Patriot Girl.” After the call she becomes pensive decides to go out on a sentimental journey.

Now dressed up once again her Patriot Girl costume, Darla cautiously enters Gizmo's abandoned secret lair. It still contains much of his sinister dungeon equipment, and she reflects on the many times she'd fallen into the villain's clutches and was brought there as a prisoner. Despite her numerous defeats, she can't help but feel nostalgic and as she slips into a memory of one of her earlier adventures.
